MECCA has a significant and growing focus in the e-commerce areas, providing an opportunity for a Technical Team Lead to lead a development team of SFCC engineers, while working on our eCommerce platform within a progressive, agile working environment.
The Role You Could Play
Reporting into our Head of Engineering and working closely with our project managers and business analysts, the Technical Team Lead is responsible for establishing a technical vision with the development team and works with developers to turn it into reality. With the desire to experiment and try new things and alternative solutions, they will participate (>50%) to the design and implementation of eCommerce functionality to support our omni-channel commerce platform.
Key responsibilities include:
Gathering requirements, prototyping, architecting and implementing/updating solutions
Facilitate and participate in the discussions on deliverables, estimates and commitments
Lead the technical planning, designing, coding and testing
Nurture/enforce and monitor product technical excellence and high quality
Conduct testing and code review, deployment in a continuous integration environment (CI)
Provide leadership and technical guidance regarding programming/system related issues
You will also be a passionate people leader, with the ability to coach, develop and manage a team while helping to establish its purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities in line with the business goals, plans and objectives.
What You Will Bring
You will have proven expertise in a Lead Programmer, Senior Developer/or Team Lead position in SFCC/Demandware with experience developing, and leading teams in the implementation of SFCC (within a microservice-based ecosystem is a plus). You will be able to anticipate, identify and define problems, seek root causes and develop practical and timely solutions including visualizing and communicating the platform architecture.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
Strong knowledge of technologies in the SFCC stack (e.g. OCAPI, SFRA)
Knowledge of API management and web service programming methods (RESTful)
Bug/work control, source control, and deployment technologies (e.g. GIT, Bamboo, Octopus Deploy)
Comfort with frequent, incremental code, testing and deployment
Experience with automation tools
