This role will act as a dedicated resource for Shark Bay Resources only and as this is a permanent position, company housing will be provided rent and utility free. Alternatively, we can offer this position as FIFO ex Perth or DIDO for those living locally.
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, we are looking for someone with recent relevant experience, a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
Job Requirements:The duties for this predominantly workshop-based role:
- Carry out abrasive blasting/painting in accordance with specification, ensuring the correct blast profile and surface preparation grades are met.
- Set up and maintain equipment to ensure optimum functionality.
- Maintain a clean and ordered blast yard.
- Use and maintain PPE provided.
Strong understanding of different blasting mediums, paint options and application techniques for various marine and land side industrial infrastructure.
Must be willing and able to complete manual handling tasks.
Experienced with and willing to assist scaffolding team on occasions if and when required.
Understanding of QA processes relating to paint applications and recording of QA outcomes.
A self-motivated worker.
Effective time and self-management skills.
Essential & desirable licence details:
A WA ‘C’ licence. (HR is desirable)
Forklift licence.
EWP ticket.
Working at Heights and Confined Space.
