SAP FI CO Consultant

A great opportunity for a SAP FI CO Consultant to join a dynamic and exciting team within a global manufacturing company, that is growing its Australian footprint!

Our client has recently implemented S/4 HANA and is looking for someone to join the team to help improve, customize, design and add on more solutions.

You will be responsible for governance, relationship management and guiding operational support of SAP S/4HANA FI CO applications. Support Business and collaborate with the business and third-party partners to understand and execute the businesses strategic vision while consulting across functions to integrate business processes and applications effectively.

About the role

• Drive continuous improvement processes and implement automation initiatives
• Support architecture, process, and governance development
• Configure S/4HANA Finance to meet business requirements
• Analyse and triage incidents with an appropriate sense of urgency, focus on restoration of service, followed by root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
• showcase best practice for the finance systems processes
• Test the solution to meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Provide functional and technical expertise in S/4HANA FI CO and its integration with the operation business application
• Perform out of the box configuration and implement necessary customization as needed
• Conducting knowledge transfer and training of end-users
• Interact with the finance team as well as stakeholders in business, understand the system related issues (S/4 Hana specific) and provide solutions to resolve and manage these issues
• Creation of a cross-divisional concept for the value flows in SAP including process introduction and support
• Key-Users of SAP FI CO
• Provide guidance to the finance team on areas where potential financial / accounting issues could arise due to configuration settings in SAP
• Investigating new systems releases and the underlying system updates in order to maintain/improve existing functionalities and to ensure up to date system application within the business

What you will bring to this role;

• 10+ years of SAP FI CO experience with proven track record working on end-to-end implementations
• Experience in solution design with SAP S/4HANA implementations
• Familiarity with SAP technology toolset (S/4 HANA preferred)
• Good knowledge of Finance and Cost Management business processes
• Familiarity with the latest version of SAP S/4HANA Finance
• FI CO functional knowledge in Manufacturing process and solution design in SAP ECC or S/4 HANA, specifically in Master data design; change management
• Experienced in capturing business requirements and translating them into software specifications
• Confidence in providing input/feedback solution to solution designers for continuous improvement
• Experience in guiding a diverse global team
• If you have worked in other SAP modules such as MM/SD/PS/SCM this would be a real advantage
