About the role
The mission of the role is to develop and execute plans, in strong coordination with stakeholders in UK and Italy, to build a sustainable UK Satellite Communication (SC) business. The successful candidate will be expected to define the UK Business Development and Sales Plan for Satcom within UK, building on competitive analysis performed by this client. You will develop relationships within various stakeholder groups, and search for new business opportunities, and new customers, based upon the target markets identified by the company and addressing the markets through the product/service portfolio of the group.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a natural relationship builder, you will develop strong relationships with operational and functional teams in Italy, UK, and other relevant European countries and define, prepare, and submit bids and tenders in line with corporate processes and guidance.
Experience in the UK Satellite Communications (SC) Industry and/or experience in business development and sales for SC services in UK;
A deep knowledge of the UK Satcom market and stakeholders, with a strong professional network (ideally across Service Providers, Institutions, Defense, Agencies and Enterprises);
Proven success reaching, or exceeding, budget goals or targets in Satcom domain;
We are looking for someone with a proactive attitude, and capable of implementing the Satcom business plan in order to achieve budget goals. Ideally you will have familiarity with satellite telecommunication technology, products and services; strong interpersonal and communication skills; and a driven personality and ‘can do’ attitude.
The role will be home based with the home site being Luton. It is expected that the role will require regular UK travel to potential customer and partner locations, including regular visits to the Luton office to support critical meetings and events. Travel to Italy and other countries will be necessary to help build and maintain relationships and knowledge of products and services.
