About the role
Reporting to the RTO Transformation & Technology Manger, you will be responsible for producing the scheduling of the rolling at the mill within the Steel Products department and ensuring the effective production management of the Mill Program.
Key responsibilities:
Preparing detailed short-term scheduling of Steel Products to ensure that production an inventory is optimized whilst meeting the delivery promise to customers
Develop and maintain schedules using in house systems
Identify opportunities to improve productivity and work quality
Anticipate and eliminate potential delays through effective planning and coordination of feed material and constraint management through the rolling process
Supporting the production teams to monitor order completion
Communicate effectively across the whole site including external contractors, operations and the wider team
Weekly meetings with the sales and marketing team
Roster - The role will initially be on a day shift roster Wed-Wed (8 on, 6 off)
About your experience
To be successful in the role you will have a sound understanding of scheduling processes as well as collaborative, organized and adaptable nature to manage priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Heavy industry, manufacturing, FMCG or supply chain background
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Sound understanding of scheduling methodologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient with the use of MS Office Suite
A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast passed environment.
