What you'll be doing
The Registered Nurse working in the NETS Clinical Coordination Centre is responsible for providing efficient call handling and effectively prioritising calls made to NETS that relate to clinical, operational, logistic and administrative enquiries. They will work collaboratively with other Coordinators (Clinical / RN) to process calls through the appropriate organisational pathway and task operational teams as directed. Clinical Calls are received and placed into a virtual conference room by the Clinical Coordinator or RN Coordinator and then chaired by the NETS duty consultant/s. The Clinical Coordinator, RN Coordinator and administrative support officer will work seamlessly together in contacting and adding relevant participants including specialty and subspecialty clinicians, as requested by the NETS Consultant. Other key functions of this position include completion of organisation specific mandatory training. The Registered Nurse Coordinator will be required to complete annual competencies relevant to the maintenance of this position as required by the service.
Current authority to practise as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated clinical experience as a registered nurse in neonatal and or paediatric setting
Demonstrated effective time management skills
Ability to function both independently and as a team member
Demonstrated advanced interpersonal skills including effective and accurate communication and computer literacy skills, consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution in multidisciplinary groups.
Strong commitment to contribute to own professional development and act as a resource person and to mentor others within the specialty where required
Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster
