Job description

St Michael’s School is a single stream co-educational school with an enrolment of approximately 230 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. 

St. Michael's is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Finance & Office Manager who can manage our financial and administration operations and procedures. The successful candidate will be a diligent and dedicated professional, suitably qualified and experienced, demonstrate the ability to provide expertise in financial matters by assisting the Principal in school financial management and coordinating our administrative team. This is a full - time permanent position (0.95 FTE 44 weeks per annum). There is the possibility of working from home one day per week. Selection Criteria

  • Effective Leadership & Management skills including exemplary confidentiality
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering measurable outcomes and a strong business acumen 
  • Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, budgets, forecasts & financial reporting 
  • Experience in financial procedures including accounts receivable, accounts payable, preparation of Business Activity Statements, and general ledger processing
  • Sound knowledge and demonstrated ability of relevant accrual accounting practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge including experience in financial programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet Applications

Experience & Qualifications Required

  • A relevant qualification in Accounting, Business, Bookkeeping or a related field 
  • Experience in leading & managing teams.
  • Experience in a school environment and with AoS 365 Dynamics would be an advantage, but not essential
  • A current First Aid certificate would be an advantage but is not essential.
