- Global pharmaceutical company based in Melbourne CBD is seeking an experienced Scientist to join the Core Analytical Testing (CAT) team
- 12-month contract role with potential to extend
- Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
- Possibility for some WFH for report writing
Reporting to the Core Bioanalytical Scientist, you will support and assist a small group pf scientist to provide analytical support for the R&D plasma product development group. The team perform a range of techniques including CE-SDS, cIEF, coagulation, ELISA, HPLC and enzyme activity.
Your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Perform analytical methods (mainly HPLC) to support the development of plasma protein products
- Collate, present and analyze experimental data including statistical analysis where appropriate
- Prepare assay test procedures, protocols and reports for test methods
- Collaborate with other global CSL analytical sites to assist in the standardization of processes within the CAT group
- Maintain laboratory quality systems
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific discipline
- Minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience, ideally in a GMP environment
- Strong laboratory skills and experience in HPLC methodology
- Familiarity and experience with programming software for controlling analytical instruments such as Empower of Chromeleon
- Understanding of assay qualification
- Ability to interpret scientific publications and pharmacopeias
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a team or independently
- Ability to independently interpret and implement the appropriate statistical practices for data analysis and reporting of data
