Where you'll be working
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai site in the perioperative unit. This contains 8 operating rooms providing surgery in the specialties of General surgery including colorectal, vascular, endocrine, breast and paediatrics; Urology: Orthopaedics: Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Plastics, Ear Nose Throat (ENT) as well as procedure access for gastroenterology; respiratory, cardiology, dental and mental health patients.
What you'll be doing
Assess suitability, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care of the patient for a surgical procedure in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome. You will actively participate in the safe patient journey for patients undergoing a surgical/medical procedure within perioperative services.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability with recent experience in the scrub/scout role.
- A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
