South Coast Baptist College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team. The successful candidate will focus on student learning, support the Head of Maths in delivering quality teaching, and implement relevant strategic plans. This role requires an enthusiastic educator committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment that supports students' academic and personal growth.
Position Requirements:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related field, a recognized teaching qualification, and current registration with the TRBWA.
- Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level, with the ability to create engaging lessons.
- Strong knowledge of the mathematics curriculum, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in using educational technology.
- A passion for teaching, a positive attitude, and a commitment to student success and well-being.
- A willingness to support the Christian values of South Coast Baptist College and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Essential Criteria:
- To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
- To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
- Work to ensure personal best practice.
- Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
- Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- First Aid certificate is desirable.
- Working With Children Card.
