SalaryDue to continued growth; NRW Civil and Mining are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Section Manager to join the high performing team on our civil projects on a full-time basis.To be considered for this position you must possess the following as a minimum:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering/Construction or equivalent qualification
- Relevant experience as a Section Manager/Engineering Associate/Technician or similar position within the Civil Sector
- Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- MS Project/Primavera P6 software experience is highly desired but not essential
- Extensive supervisory experience across bulk earthworks
- Supervising of civil works as required
- Ensuring safe productivity and meeting daily targets including planning of work activities and cost management
- Delivering daily pre-start and toolbox meetings
- Ensuring the accuracy of financial forecasts which tie into the project schedules
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the assigned engineering tasks
- Monitoring the performance of subcontractors
- Monitoring progress of personnel and equipment requirements
- Maintaining a high level of safety standards at all times including leading by example to encourage safe work practice
- Managing all the traffic performance and auditing process across the project
