My client is looking for a talented and experienced Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining their security to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage robust threat prevention mechanisms to detect and mitigate security threats, including intrusion detection systems (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Secure sensitive data and credentials through the management of secrets, encryption, and key management solutions.
- Develop and implement Identity & Access Management (IAM) strategies and solutions, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions across our infrastructure, focusing on DevOps practices and Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle, including code reviews, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automation scripts.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, & tests to identify and address security vulnerabilities proactively.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, or related field.
- Deep understanding of security concepts, including encryption, authentication, access control, and network security protocols.
- Experience with threat prevention solutions, such as IDS/IPS, firewall management, and endpoint security.
- Proficiency in managing secrets, certificates, and cryptographic keys using industry-standard tools and protocols.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
- Proficiency in containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes, and experience securing containerized environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for security-related tasks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
