One of Australia’s crucialFederal Government Departments is looking to engage skilled and experienced Security Engineers to join their fast paced, supportive team based in ACT. The ideal Security Engineer will be responsible for assessing and identifying any security risks or vulnerabilities associated with the implementation of the projects. The successful Security Engineer will secure a 12-month contract with the opportunity to extend for the right candidate partnered a lucrative pay rate.
The successful Security Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Undertaking an assessment of any risks and vulnerabilities associated with the implementation of the project system within the standard operation procedures
- Developing a core security document set for approval by the department
- Undertaking a comprehensive security assessment to identify and document any risks and threats
- Understand the project landscape and operating environment
The successful Security Engineer will have experience in the following:
- Five or more years as a Security Engineer working in security related projects or roles, delivering ICT security related documentation, including Security Risk Management Plans and Statements of Applicability
- Three or more years of experience in telecommunications network assurance, call/ contact centre operations, MS Teams and unified communications projects
- Previous experience and familiarity with ISM Controls, E8 and PSPF Framework and IRAP process
