We are seeking an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join our small, dynamic, and flexible team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing cutting-edge electronic security solutions to our clients. As an Electronic Security Technician, you will be responsible for upgrading electronic security systems, performing installations, troubleshooting and repairs of electronic security systems, including CCTV and access control software. This position requires a thorough understanding of electronic security systems, high-level integrations, programming, and IT networking principles. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the electronic security industry or IT Industry and be proficient in various operating systems, networking protocols, and security software.
Responsibilities:
Install and program electronic security systems, including CCTV and access control software, to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Upgrade electronic security systems to meet the latest technological standards and industry best practices, with a focus on IT and networking principles
Troubleshoot and repair electronic security systems and associated components, using your experience and skills to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine system needs and requirements, and recommend appropriate solutions to meet client needs.
Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and in compliance with applicable codes, regulations and company policies, with an emphasis on security protocols
Provide excellent customer service and support to clients, and represent our company in a professional and courteous manner at all times
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in the electronic security industry or relevant IT sector, with a proven track record of success in system upgrades, high-level integrations, and networking principles
Experience in high-level integrations of CCTV and access control software, and knowledge of operating systems, networking protocols, and software.
Familiarity with electronic security systems, such as Gallagher, Integriti, Milestone, Guetebruck, Indigovision, Jacques etc
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, while also demonstrating initiative and creativity in problem-solving
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a customer-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with the flexibility to travel to different sites as needed
