Security Technician

We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Security Installer to join our team. As a Security Installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation, configuration, and maintenance of various security systems, ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. 

Duties will include: 

• Install, maintain, service and repair a variety of security systems, access control systems, video surveillance systems, and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and testing on these systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with Australian and Tasmanian regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with security systems, including hardware and software components.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the security needs of the organization.
• Provide technical support to other members of the security team and collaborate with external vendors as needed.
• Keep accurate records of security system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
• Stay up to date with new security technologies and trends and make recommendations for system upgrades and improvements.
• Participate in emergency response and incident management activities as needed.
• Provide training to staff on the proper use and maintenance of security systems.

• Qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
• Previous experience working with access control systems, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems (highly desirable).
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in emergency situations.
• Elevated Work Platform/Boom Lift/Scissor Lift.
• Working with Vulnerable People Clearance.
• White card. 
• Cabling licence.
• Tasmanian Driver licence (manual licence not essential but preferred).

The preferred applicant will be required to provide a police check prior to receiving a formal offer of employment. 

We offer a highly competitive salary range for the Security Installer position, starting at $75,000. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise in security system installation.
