The role is hybrid and requires 2 days at the office.
About the role: As a department leader, the successful candidate will inspire and motivate the team to achieve company objectives, culture, and vision. They will assist in new business development in line with company growth plans, maintain quality client relationships, and manage project-oriented tasks according to client specifications.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the following competencies at the outlined level for the role:
Internal Responsibilities:
* Promote a respectful and professional working environment
* Lead the accounts team, either through direct line management or non-managerial activities
* Oversee and develop direct reports' performance plans in accordance with company and personal objectives
* Inform the cross-functional team about specific roles and responsibilities to ensure that each project is delivered according to the client brief
* Ensure that the team has the appropriate training for their role
* Ensure that the growing team reflects the company's values
* Support and mentor junior team members
* Coordinate and allocate workload within the team, ensuring that senior team members are up to date on activities and workload
* Update internal systems and files accurately and regularly (CMAP, People HR, databases, job folders)
* Review, revise, and implement company processes and procedures
Business Development:
* Identify opportunities across the current client base and actively develop new client relationships
* Coordinate the development of proposals for new business where necessary
External Responsibilities:
* Lead a variety of projects across the full spectrum of medical education, including but not limited to written content, creative branding, artworked materials, digital items, videos, KOL mapping, KOL management, training activities, events, and publications activities
* Build and maintain successful client relationships
* Attend and lead client meetings, including relevant external meetings/congresses
* Represent the agency in a professional and respectful manner during all external and internal interactions
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of clients' objectives and provide creative and strategic input across all projects
* Develop client proposals in line with the company's pricing structure
* Deliver assigned project activities within the agreed budget and company processes
* Manage, maintain, and review time across client accounts and identify any budget issues as soon as possible
* Develop and manage project documentation and databases and ensure adequate record retention (electronically and/or hard copies)
* Identify high-quality suppliers for all third-party support requirements, liaise with external contractors and suppliers, provide clear guidance, and ensure that the work returned by contractors conforms to the brief
* Adhere to all client processes regarding compliance requirements and external consultant engagement (client requirements and procedures vary by company)
* Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical compliance guidelines based on client requirements and retain clear documentation.
