Your new role
My Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the Finance & Accounting Operations Manager and contribute to a range of accounting functions, including month-end accounting, financial reporting, tax preparation, and audit support.
As a motivated and skilled Senior Accountant looking to make a difference you will contribute to cutting-edge defence technology. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential is the ability to obtain AGSVA clearance level: NV1 along with:
Qualification in Accounting and CA or CPA Qualified with 5+ years' experience.
Chartered experience in the Big 4 or Mid-Tier firms in Business Services is highly regarded.
Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of AASB/IFRS.
Ability to process, investigate, and analyse financial information.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
Strong team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Intermediate Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
