The Role
As the Part-Time Senior Accountant, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all our financial activities. This role offers you the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life while making a significant impact on our company’s success. You will support the Financial Controller with all aspects of month-end as well as manage the monthly rental income from the property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Undertake accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Process payroll, manage expense claims, and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare and process PAYG, BAS, superannuation, and other tax-related lodgements.
- Develop and maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
You are an experienced and degree-qualified accountant with a CA or CPA certification. Your experienced accounting knowledge preferably in a SME, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities set you apart. With at least five years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within small to medium-sized enterprises. Your hands-on experience with systems such as Xero and advanced solid skills make you a valuable asset to our team. You will thrive in a flexible work environment and are eager to contribute to a company that values your expertise and supports your professional growth.
