The IT Asset Management team is responsible for driving the processes and controls that enable the effective management of hardware and software assets across the Bank. The team ensures the Bank’s IT assets are utilised in-line with its contracts, and works various stakeholders to deliver usage reporting and compliance activities. This role will sit in the Software Asset Management practice of the IT Asset Management function.
The Team
You will be part of the Software Asset Management team which is responsible for software licensing and identifying the impacts of changing technology and software models in legacy and new environments. You will report to the Manager of IT Asset Management on a day to day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist management in responding to software requests from internal customers.
- Perform vendor specific data analytics
- Compile software compliance usage reports (i.e. licence entitlements vs deployment).
- Assist in maintenance and management of software entitlement inventories.
- Assist with actioning software audit and annual true-up/review activities.
- Analyse current and future software usage and leverage the data to gain additional value from new and existing contracts.
- Provide advice on how to optimise solutions to reduce software licensing cost
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are fully documented and continuously improve and standardise processes
- Ensure all Software Compliance policies are fully documented and adhered to across the Group
- Mentor other members of the team to optimise software across the Group
- Previous experience in similar role and SAM tools e.g. Flexera and interfacing with the enterprise CMDB is Highly Desirable
- Strong business acumen and IT Operations Awareness
- Demonstrable ability to interpret complex licensing requirements
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Background in IT or Accounting/Audit is desirable
- Demonstrable degree of initiative to be able to undertake/complete work with limited supervision/direction
- Excellent /interpersonal/communication and people skills (e.g. presentation, assertiveness, initiative, discretion, confidence and good stakeholder management techniques)
- Demonstrable ability to find innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement
- Joining an established practice viewed as the centre of excellence for software licensing across the Group; the successful candidate will gain exposure to different parts of the Bank's technology platforms and gain insights on how they operate.
- Opportunity to manage a broad spectrum of contracts ranging from niche financial services software to large enterprise agreements covering the Group and its many subsidiaries.
