About the role
As a Senior Analyst you will play an important role in supporting the Portfolio Analytics Manager to deliver customer, product and commercial insights and outcomes to stakeholders across the health insurance, financial services and health services portfolios.
About your team
The Portfolio Analytics team plays a critical role in providing timely insights and advanced analytical capabilities to support Medibank’s 2030 vision and portfolio strategy. The team works from problem / opportunity identification to analytical execution and plays a key role in driving improved decision-making and commercial outcomes across the organisation.
Your impact
Working closely with stakeholders across Medibank’s portfolio of businesses, this role is responsible for:
- Understanding stakeholder needs across the Medibank and ahm portfolios, for the private health insurance, financial services and health services businesses
- Translating commercial questions into relevant analytical approaches, executing the analyses and communicating findings / recommendations to stakeholders in a commercially impactful manner
- Developing trusted working relationships with business stakeholders and other functional teams across the organisation (e.g. finance, actuary)
- Being a trusted analytical and commercial insights partner for Medibank and ahm stakeholders
- Supporting the Portfolio Analytics Manager and other senior leads within CE&I on analytical initiatives
- Collaborating with other analytics teams on the delivery of enterprise analytics initiatives / insights
About You
We are looking for a self-starter with a high attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage competing stakeholders, time and priorities. You’re an experienced analytics and insights professional with strong knowledge in:
- Analytics experience in private health insurance, health care or other insurance sectors will be favourably considered
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and influence business decisions using data and analytics
- SQL, SAS, R or Python
- Experience in building commercial and statistical models
- Experience in SQL and data transformation
- Experience in Business Intelligence tools
