A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a high performing Senior Associate to work in the national Environment, Planning, Native Title and Cultural heritage practice supporting the East Coast of Australia.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our team provides clients with a comprehensive legal service that covers the entire life cycle of a matter. We work with clients across key industry sectors, including, energy and natural resources, real estate, technology and infrastructure. Our global reach delivers opportunities around the world, as well as access to international expertise.
In this position, you will be a valued contributor of a small, close-knit team providing native title, environmental and planning support to various groups in all our East Coast offices (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane). You will also be responsible for supporting clients who you will assist by negotiating native title and Aboriginal heritage agreements, obtaining necessary tenure approvals and advising on regulatory compliance.

To be successful in this position you will have a strong client focus as well as excellent legal, analytical and interpersonal skills. You will be well organized and have the ability to manage your own workload and to take direction from more senior team members. You will ideally be a senior associate or special counsel with experience or a keen interest in native title, cultural heritage and environmental and planning regulatory regimes. You will be based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane but have a willingness to travel and provide on the ground support on projects across Australia. Your strong communication skills will enable you to maintain high-quality relationships with our client base. You will be a team player who is results focused and striving to succeed.
