Taking on the role of Senior Associate, Relationship Manager with our Multinationals team in Sydney, you will provide relationship management coverage to subsidiaries of high profile inbound Global Banking customers across the full spectrum of corporate banking products. The position is a national role looking after an industry agnostic portfolio of approximately 75 clients targeting to up tier relationships through revenue growth and cross-sell. The Multinationals strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers.
This role presents a fantastic hands-on opportunity for the right individual to develop their coverage banking relationship management skills whilst being exposed to the full range of institutional banking products and services.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients and internal colleagues both locally and internationally across a wide range of product and client relationship matters
Establishing strong and close working relationships with key individuals in clients’ management team
Working collaboratively with other global businesses, product and service partners to identify opportunities to connect customers and strengthen the relationship
Deepen client relationships and develop effective strategies to improve income generation, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment
Negotiate and structure credit facilities and documentation under the constraints of credit/lending policies and market standards, in meeting clients’ needs as a result of thorough understanding of their businesses, financing requirements and market conditions
Maintaining a proactive calling programme to service clients, ensuring senior management and key stakeholders for key corporate clients are contacted regularly
Delivering a high quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions, and always acting according to the highest professional standards
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will require:
Solid experience dealing with corporate/institutional clients across the full spectrum of corporate banking products.
The ability to build strong and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong sales and customer service orientation, with the ability to work independently and autonomously under pressure.
A keen interest in the market and specific client developments in order to take a pro-active role across broad industry sectors.
Ability to balance and address conflicting priorities amongst Global Banking clients and internal business requirements.
Able to manage the role’s workflow through strong organisational skills and time management.
Understanding of compliance obligations, risk management and credit mitigants, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles.
Sound communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
