We have an exciting position available for a full-time senior audio/visual installer. The role involves working with a team on audio/visual and home automation installations in the Sydney Metropolitan area.
The role would suit an experienced tradesperson looking to step into a position that offers further training and development within a supportive and relaxed work environment.

All about you:
As a Senior Technical Installer for A/V, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful installation and integration of audiovisual systems within primarily domestic environments. Your expertise in A/V technologies, network programming, and electrical fundamentals will be essential in delivering seamless and top-tier experiences to our clients. You will work closely with our project teams, clients, and internal staff to guarantee that projects are executed with the highest level of professionalism and technical excellence.

- NSW driver's license.
- Two recent references.

- Must have permanent Australian residency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the installation of complex domestic audiovisual systems, including components such as projectors, displays, sound systems, control systems, and more.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams to interpret technical specifications and project requirements, ensuring accurate installation and integration.
- Utilize your extensive experience with systems such as Savant and RTI to configure, program, and calibrate A/V equipment to meet clients' preferences and needs.
- Work on distributed video systems, creating seamless multi-room video experiences and ensuring synchronization across different display zones.
- Apply your knowledge of home automation to integrate A/V systems with other smart home technologies, enhancing the overall user experience.
- Leverage your network programming skills to set up and optimize network connectivity for A/V systems, ensuring reliable performance and remote access capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during installation, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused attitude.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior installers, sharing best practices and industry knowledge to foster skill development within the team.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installation procedures, configurations, and technical diagrams for reference and future support.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in A/V system installation, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
- Proficiency in working with A/V control systems such as Savant and RTI, including basic programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of distributed video systems, home automation, and integration with smart home technologies.
- Network programming skills, with the ability to configure and optimize network connectivity for A/V systems.
- Electrical background is highly desirable, as it contributes to a well-rounded understanding of system integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with project teams, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service to clients.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CIT, IST, CEDIA) are a plus.
