Your new role
The Senior Azure Engineer is a key member of the organisations Microsoft Cloud and Development Practice. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based solutions for clients. The Senior Azure Engineer acts as a subject matter expert on Azure-based solutions and provides guidance to clients using best practices.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Acting as a key subject matter expert on Azure-based solutions
Provide guidance to clients about best practice
Design, implement and support Azure-based solutions including: Networking (including Express Route, VPN, Virtual Networks and Private Endpoints), Platform services (i.e. SQL, Storage, App Services, Kubernetes) Infrastructure services (Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop) Security (Azure Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Policies, Azure AD Security features such as PIM and Conditional Access).
Understand security standards such as Essentials 8, NIST and ISO 27001.
What you'll need to succeed
This role suits a candidate with strong experience and understanding of Azure services including networking, platform services, infrastructure services and security. Experience with Azure Resource Manager/ Bicep templates, Azure DevOps and Powershell is essential for this role, along with the ability to design solutions in line with the Azure Landing Zone Architecture
