About the role

The Senior Boomi Integration Engineer role is responsible for driving design and engineering practices, hands-on delivery and technical business partnership to ensure that integration solutions are performant, reliable, resilient, scalable and fit for purpose in our increasingly API and Event-driven landscape.

Responsibilities & Duties 

-Define the integration reference architecture for solutions especially in the Integrated Gas technology landscape.
-Provide feature teams with patterns and guidance that support design of solutions that make effective use of integration technologies.
-Build a knowledge base and community of practice around technical expertise, frameworks and best practices on our chosen technologies.
-Hands-on integration development and implementation.
-Operational governance and support activities as required.
-Guide the teams in application of modern software engineering tools and practices in an Agile and DevOps model.
-Engineering of solutions, frameworks and the supporting platforms to provide the optimal internal customer experience.
-Foster a community of practice around the engineering of integration solutions.
 

About you

Essential

-Demonstrated experience

with Dell Boomi or Boomi is mandatory; past experience with iPaaS is highly regarded.
-AWS Service

: EC2, S3, R53, ALB, Cloudfront, APO GW, DynamoBD, Lambda, Cloudformation
-Strong understanding of modern architecture directions (Cloud, microservices, APIs, reactive programming) and how they affect application and integration architecture;
-Experience designing and implementing secure REST and SOAP-based APIs;
-Solid understanding of integration patterns spanning various integration styles including SOA, EAI and Event-driven architectures;
-General understanding of the governance concerns in a service-oriented architecture;
-Demonstrated experience with open-source integration frameworks (e.g.Apache Camel);
-Demonstrated experience using message-oriented middleware (e.g. Solace, Websphere MQ, ActiveMQ)
-Commercial exposure to API management solutions (e.g. Apigee and CA Layer 7) and API security patterns
-Demonstrated experience with DevOps tools including automation, version control and CI/CD pipeline utilities
