As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be providing business analysis within our Group Engineering & Operations including requirements/use case elicitation and development, process mapping and analyst support to the Paperless Engineering Operation project. You will support projects throughout the lifecycle with emphasis on requirements, process, test and implementation activities at the direction of the Project Manager / Product Owner. Also supporting the development and evolution of Business Analysis within Jetstar. You will be working on a Paperless Engineering Operations program that will transform Jetstar’s Engineering operations from a legacy, paper-based operation to a mobility platform, with significant benefits in the areas of compliance, cost reduction, OTP improvement, error reduction, data quality and staff engagement.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Deliver BA outcomes in accordance with agreed governance standards, methodologies, work practices, systems and tools
- Apply best practice BA methodologies in support of Paperless Engineering Operations project
- Contribute to Group IT continual improvement initiatives
- Effectively work with key business stakeholders, program and project teams to gather requirements & capture business needs utilising various methods including meetings, workshops, process analysis, research etc.
- Ensure detailed business and / or functional requirements are clearly and accurately documented.
- Must be able to clearly and simply articulate business requirements from a business perspective; whilst still being able to produce functional documentation which provides sufficient detail
- Review and validation of high-level processes, systems and reporting to ensure full coverage of requirements.
- Ensuring ongoing business and functional requirements are captured & validated ensuring the Project / Program success
- Tertiary qualification in business / Information Technology
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience working in a business analyst role
- Experience working on CBAP, Lean, Six Sigma and Agile BA
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities to extract operational benefit from re-engineering, of process, resource, and scoping of key technology initiatives
- Experience with general business requirements management / documentation for IT changes and understanding business drivers
- Experience in working and delivering BA outcomes in large scale IT project
