Senior Business Analyst

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking 2 x Senior Business Analyst to join our passionate and diverse Remediation team.

The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will contribute to the successful remediation of incidents as well as executing business analysis activities in line with defined methodologies. A keen problem solver and attention to detail, you will discover underlying root causes and determine suitable steps to rectify, remediate and ultimately minimise future occurrences across several incidents whilst collaborating with various stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct analysis and validation to verify the problem statement and support decision making
• Determine business or system requirements and test scenarios
• Review and validate solution specifications against business requirements.
• Prepare documentation including processes and requirements as required.
• Identify risk and issues, and proactively manage to resolution
• Deliver business rectification and remediation solutions and support the implementation activities  
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to determine business needs, solution requirements and resolve issues.  Engage with them throughout the project to build understanding, support and change readiness.
• Influence stakeholders / delivery partners across the Business (incl. technology teams) to support the incident remediation methodology. 
• Set and clarify expectations clearly and openly with your leaders, peers, and stakeholders to make sure you have a shared understanding of each other’s responsibilities and accountabilities. 
• Provision of support for Project Managers and provide subject matter expert advice

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

• Practical understanding and proven experience in the end-to-end incident remediation lifecycle
• Understanding of super, pensions, investment trust wrap and group insurance: products, business processes, the regulatory environment, tax and legal principles would be preferred.
• Working knowledge of contemporary business analysis methodologies, practices, techniques, and tools.
• Domain knowledge of investment operations and/or tax accounting would be beneficial.
• At least five years’ experience as Business Analyst.
• Business analysis certification (e.g. IIBA or PMI, PMBOK) (desirable).
• RG146 (Superannuation) compliance (desirable).
