The opportunity: We have a new opening for an experienced investments business development professional to join our growing go to market team serving advisers and practices in NSW. Working alongside the account managers and new business managers, the Investment Specialist will follow a solutions-based business development approach to leverage our intellectual capital and managed portfolio solutions to deliver investment solutions for advisers across all their end client segments to help them serve more clients, better. In doing so, the adviser entrusts their clients’ assets to Morningstar as their investment partner to help them achieve their financial goals.
The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter with strong expertise in investments and business development. They will have an evidenced track record of successfully converting their investment proficiency into revenue by retaining and growing AUM with financial advisers.
Day to day could see you being involved in the following
Leading the service delivery for the investment pillar of our value proposition to advice practices we serve in NSW to retain their AUM and achieve investment netflow goals to grow share of wallet AUM goals.
Working alongside the new business managers to win new advisers and practices in NSW to entrust their clients’ assets to our managed account investment solutions.
Onboarding and serving advisers to achieve their new investment value proposition in a friction free manner by solving any investment and behavioural challenges when entrusting their clients’ wealth to our managed account investment solutions.
Represent the investment management team in external client speaking engagements, marketing and educational sessions. Including investment and behavioural coaching videos, webinars, forums and licensee conferences.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
An evidenced track record in investments business development serving financial advisers and successfully converting these relationships to revenue.
Strong investment background, including principles of asset allocation, portfolio construction and manager analysis.
Demonstrated experience, understanding and proficiency to communicate investment and behavioural finance concepts in their application to financial advice.
An ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and service standards to financial advisers.
Excellent presentation, public speaking and written communication skills. Including the ability to listen effectively, present a compelling solution to adviser and practice needs and objections.
A bachelor’s degree, and advanced degree and/or a CFA designation is preferred
RG146 Certification.
