Form of work A fantastic and high impact opportunity for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst has become available within the Strategic Decision Support team (BI team) of ALDI stores, based in Minchinbury, NSW. This is a full-time 12-month fixed term position with the possibility of extension and permanency.
The purpose of a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is to create and set the gold standard in the development of high-value and automated reporting solutions powered by Alteryx and Tableau to support specific business needs and objectives, creating actionable insights for their target audience to drive outcomes for the business. A Senior BI Analyst embodies the values of retail entrepreneurship and acts as an enabler of topical conversations, with a higher purpose to support the business in the delivery of high value outcomes.
As a Senior BI Analyst, you will be responsible for partnering with a wide variety of stakeholders who have differing levels of technical skills and knowledge across the entire business. Furthermore, a Senior BI Analyst acts as a point of technical mentorship and support for junior members of the team, empowering them to go above and beyond just the delivery requirements.
What does the role look like?
Supporting the broader BI team in providing technical data and reporting solutions to complex business problems
Undertaking the capture of unstructured data sets in bespoke environments and making them fit for purpose within the scope of new systems
Providing support for the BI Team for the handling and management of any data topics which relate to the translation of ALDI legacy data into new third-party environments
Translating the needs of the BI team and the broader business from the perspective of data and reporting related topics
Driving and leading reporting initiatives across the business in alignment with key requirements
Creation of dashboards and reporting suites across the business in alignment with the broader company strategy
Collation, extraction, management, and manipulation of data sets across a variety of complex and structured environments
Builds and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders across functions and within the BI team
Drives the implementation of innovations and new functionalities in the context of Data and reporting solutions

What do we need from you?
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a report development role using Tableau and Alteryx
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a data-focused process improvement role
Prior experience in dashboard modelling, report development and project coordination
Excellent capabilities in communicating effectively to a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
High attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated experience in applying data management and analytics methodologies
Demonstrated experience in SAP Reporting migration into Tableau is highly regarded
Aptitude to mentor and develop more Junior Analysts
Demonstrated experience in supporting business and analytics functions in driving process improvement initiatives
Tertiary education within Business, Data, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related is highly regarded
Current Tableau or Alteryx certification is highly regarded
Experience in handling SAP data is highly desirable
Demonstrated experience in working as part of a data transformation project is desirable
Programming experience is desirable
This role reports to the Senior Executive Manager- Finance and Administration
