Working as part of our Journey Beyond Group, you play an integral role in supporting our business to share special places and shape lasting memories.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the General Manager Data and eCommerce, this role will be instrumental in delivering on Journey Beyond's data driven strategy and share responsibility for group Business Intelligence Systems and Datawarehouse development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Effectively capture and document design requirements from multiple stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
- Support and enhance existing data warehouse
- Add value through the development of data warehouse, to achieve business objectives
- Development of key business integrations with existing or new systems
- Adhere to industry best practices and end user documentation
- Work within an agile development team and assist in developing innovative solutions for the business
- Work collaboratively with applications developers
- Accurately gauge development timelines, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks on multiple projects
You will have a bachelor's degree in a Computer Technology related field or have equivalent experience in SQL and Microsoft BI stack (SSMS/SSIS/SSRS/SSAS).
Along with this you will also have:
- Microsoft Certifications (MCSA/MCSE equivalent or similar) in data analytics, database development and reporting.
- Experience in the travel or tourism sector desirable but not essential
- Advanced T-SQL capabilities including procedures, views, functions, constraints.
- Experience in Data Warehousing design and best practices
- Experience in database administration will be advantageous
- Experience with performance optimisation and execution plans.
- Experience in Power BI, tabular data modelling and DAX.
- Familiarity with Azure Platform.
- Familiarity with Data Deduplication process
- Proven knowledge of the most current security standards and best practices.
- Comfort working with applications such as Jira
- Expectational stakeholder management
- Very strong communication skills
- Understanding of a broad range of commercial functions (including Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, Contact Centres, CRM, Loyalty)
- Work well in a fast paced, multi-business environment with tight deadlines
