About the Role


An exciting opportunity to join BOQ Group (which includes Bank of Queensland, Virgin Money Australia and ME Bank) as a Senior Business Performance Analyst during our transformation journey. By joining the digital bank of the future, you will be able to make a difference with integrity and empathy by contributing to the successful and effective monitoring of the financial performance of the group technology division further assisting in delivering a strategic productivity agenda, adding significant value to our organisation.

As a Senior Business Performance Analyst, you will support the Senior Manager of Business Performance within the Executive Office of the CIO to drive operational focus of the bank’s strategic agenda by maintaining and improving reporting across all key functional areas of the business. This will include developing and reviewing KPI’s and other key business performance metrics that support improved decision making.

Furthermore, you will drive and deliver process improvement across operational areas of the business, requiring you to develop strong business relationships across the Group. You will also assist in the execution of adhoc strategic initiatives, which can span across a large variety of business areas. This will involve working closely with enterprise business partners to drive divisional priorities and outcomes. You will also assist with reviewing business cases and other strategic investment opportunities, further driving specific action plans and/or small initiatives as directed by the General Manager.

In this role you will be key to the effective communication between technical and business. This role provides a clear pathway of career development, where you will be in a team of warm, supportive and driven individuals.


About you


As an experienced business performance analyst with high levels of commercial acumen, you will be a collaborative outcome and people focused individual who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment. You will have knowledge of how a technology function operates particularly in a financial or commercial environment, along with a strong understanding of how a business works as a whole.

Furthermore, you will possess experience in dealing with senior executives, including following up actions and issues in a matrixed organisation. This will be supported by your sound working knowledge of creation and interpretation of business plans and cross-department priorities associated with planning, accountability and performance measurement frameworks. You will also have experience in writing reports, producing dashboards and writing presentations for senior management.
