Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join the Batu-Hijau expansion team. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this opportunity would suit an experienced project procurement professional.
The role will be offered as a 6 month contract to start. There is the option to be based either in Perth or Brisbane.
The role
End to end procurement package management (compile bid list, develop RFP package, expedite engineering deliverables, issue tenders, manage addendums, close/open bids, commercial evaluation, draft award documentation, draft and conform contracts, coordinate kick-off and progress meetings, manage insurance and securities, process payments and variation claims
Contracts administration
Coordination of support services including expediting, inspection, transport and logistics
Weekly and monthly reporting
Resolution of any issues or complaints with prompt escalation as required
The ideal candidate
7 yrs experience as a Senior Buyer
Demonstrable record of successful procurement package management
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
Ability to work autonomously and balance multiple project requirements
Detail oriented, schedule focused
Experience with Aconex and Sharepoint
