About your new role
As the Senior Capital Planning Officer within the Community Services and Venues branch, you will contribute to the direction, planning and development of community and recreational facilities and services on the Gold Coast, through coordinating capital project and budget submissions, undertaking quality assurance reviews, coordinating condition assessments, providing guidance to staff on renewal requirements, and supporting asset custodians through the Directorate project management lifecycle methodology.
Responsibilities and duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Management of the programming, scoping and delivery of the branch’s capital works program; including renewals and new upgrade projects and programs
- Analyse data, plan, scope and document asset condition assessment requirements
- Ensure asset condition assessments are undertaken through coordination of internal and external resources and in line with the branch’s condition assessment plan
- Coordinate and undertake Quality Assurance of capital project submissions including Project on a Page (PoaP) documents developed by asset custodians and project managers, on behalf of the branch
- Assist with programming and scoping new capital projects in conjunction with asset custodians
What you bring to your new role
- Your qualifications and/ or experience in project or program management, asset management, or equivalent experience
- A high level of project, program and/or asset management knowledge and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Excellent time management and task coordination skills
- The ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders
