As a CTP Case Manager you will be building effective working relationships with a variety of key stakeholders, including injured claimants and/or their lawyers, and reviewing treatment requests and organising investigations into claims with a focus on proactive claims management.
You'll be responsible for:
- Manage your own CTP claims portfolio from lodgement to finalisation
- Build effective working relationships with a variety of key stakeholders, including injured claimants and/or their lawyers, rehabilitation advisors and medical professionals, to drive successful rehabilitation and return to work outcomes
- Assess claims for reasonable and necessary treatment and rehabilitation requirements.
- Assess and manage injury needs of claimants, handling correspondence regarding CTP benefits, treatment and rehabilitation and interpret medical reports.
- Review treatment requests and organise investigations into claims with a focus on proactive claims management
- Make settlement offers, attend informal and settlement conferences to progress claims towards finalisation
- Attend conferences with counsel, expert witnesses, and lawyers
Important to your success:
- Proven para-legal personal injury experience (preferred)
- Insurance Claims experience, preferably within CTP / Personal Injury
- Qualifications in Law, Insurance, Medical, Allied Health or related disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate technical legal terms/findings in 'plain English' to customers
- Having a genuine customer focused approach
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Skills to manage a target driven case load
