Senior Civil Engineer

Aspect Personnel are currently working with a Northern Regional Council to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer.

This is initially a 3 month contract position with possible extension.

Responsibilities:
Conduct site inspections for development construction sites and ensure that all works comply with design plans, specifications, and standards.
Review consultant development designs and provide comments for improvements or adjustments to the designs as necessary.
Collaborate with internal Council stakeholders and external consultants on development projects, ensuring that all parties are working effectively and efficiently towards project goals.
Provide technical expertise in civil engineering to support the development team and ensure project objectives are met.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal Council stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors involved in development projects.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in site inspections and reviewing consultant development designs.
Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and codes.
Experience in engaging with internal Council stakeholders and external consultants.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
