About this role
This role is designed to assist in delivering Civil Engineering services to concept design team projects under the Arup/Aurecon planning partnership for Sydney Water. With primary focus on leading and managing complex projects this role is also focused on fostering ongoing capability and skills building within the team.
What will I do?
- Lead and manage challenging and complex water and wastewater projects throughout all phases of design.
- Provide mentoring and support for other engineers working within the Sydney Water concept design team and foster ongoing capability and skills building within the team.
- Work without supervision, referring up as necessary. In achieving this you will be responsible for meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets in your own area;
- Represent Arup at internal and external events and you may be responsible for designing and delivering events, activities and projects which impact the business;
- Take responsibility for the performance and development of others through providing guidance, training, direction and feedback.
What will I bring?
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering or similar area;
- Relevant industry experience in the water industry within a consulting business environment;
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines - and Arup's related procedures including OH&S
- Experience with internal and external stakeholder management.
