About the role
The Jobs and Skills Centre is a service offering free career, training and employment assistance as well as partnerships with industry. The Centre is a one-stop-shop for anyone looking to improve their skills and job prospects – including students, jobseekers and career changers. It will provide a culturally responsive service to Aboriginal people. The Jobs and Skill Centre will also engage with the local community and industry to help build local prosperity.
Within the role as a Senior Client Engagement Officer (Industry Liaison) you will work with industries and employers to implement strategies and assist them to develop and increase their Aboriginal workforce through recruitment, retention, and skills development. Additionally, the position will develop and maintain stakeholder relationships including the Aboriginal community, service providers and Aboriginal organisations.
Within this role you will provide advice to the TAFE on current and emerging skills needs of industry and business. The position also encourages employers to provide apprenticeship/traineeship and other work opportunities to jobseekers and graduates.

During the life of the pool, candidates found suitable through this process may be offered appointment to similar & subsequent vacancies within the College, within other TAFE Colleges or across WA Government (subject to candidate permission being granted).
Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
