- Provide contemporary, transparent and evidence-based clinical advice in regard to positive behaviour support and reducing and eliminating restrictive practices in the context of the Disability Services Act 2006.
- Develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP) for adults with intellectual or cognitive impairment, subject to containment and seclusion, and for all restrictive practices where the service provider is AS&RS as part of the in kind agreement.
- Maintain a high level and active clinical case load of individuals with high and complex behaviour support needs.
- Ensure that compliance is maintained in regard to the legislative framework and ensure appropriate safeguards are implemented for clients in line with the Disability Services Act 2006.
- Undertake, prepare and endorse clinical assessments, submissions, reports, briefs and other documentation on clinical case matters and operations as required.
- Provide training and advice to AS&RS staff and the broader disability sector with regard to the requirements of the Disability Services Act 2006 in relation to restrictive practices.
