Salary package: $109,945 - $117,567 per annum plus 17% Superannuation
Terms: Full-time, Continuing

  • Provide comprehensive support and advice on the design, development and implementation of workforce strategies.
  • Undertake complex data analysis to supply evidence-based advice and recommendations to the wider organisation.
  • Define and implement dynamic strategic and operational workforce dashboards and reports.

Position overview
The Senior Consultant, Workforce Planning and Analytics provides comprehensive support and advice on the design, development and implementation of workforce strategies through the analysis of workforce data and trends.

The Senior Consultant, Workforce Planning and Analytics works in close collaboration with staff within the People and Culture Division and other University stakeholders, particularly the Division of Shared Services, Finance and Business Services Division, and Planning and Service Performance Division to provide high quality advice and support on all workforce analytics, reporting and system matters. The Senior Consultant, Workforce Planning and Analytics is responsible for coordinating compliance reporting and contributes to the identification and implementation of initiatives aimed at ensuring HR data integrity and accuracy and plays a key role in the development of workforce reporting and analytics skills within the ANU community.

Selection Criteria:
1. Progress towards relevant postgraduate qualifications and demonstrated experience in Workforce Planning, reporting or analytics role in a complex organisation.

2. Demonstrated strategic advice and planning skills to support senior management and experience implementing and providing advice on Workforce Planning initiatives to improve organisational outcomes.

3. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary workforce metrics and analytics practices and systems, including experience analysing data from multiple sources and making recommendations to inform strategic plans.

4. Demonstrated high-level analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, including experience analysing highly complex data, making recommendations and contributing to the development of strategic plans.

5. High level of interpersonal and consultation skills with demonstrated effective communication skills and experience developing comprehensive written documentation and reports, including policies and procedures.

6. Demonstrated computer skills with experience using HR management systems and proficiency using the MsOffice suite. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerBI or similar data visualisation tools will be highly regarded.
