AddressRole: Senior Corporate/Commercial Lawyer / Principal

Due to growth of the firm and the needs of our clients, we are looking to increase our practice and add to our team of experienced professional lawyers. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our leadership team to continue to grow our commercial / corporate practice. We are looking for either a Principal or Senior Lawyer looking to become one of our commercial / corporate leaders.
To be considered for this role, you will be a technically savvy and experienced commercial / corporate lawyer. You will possess the ability to work both autonomously as well as in a team environment, have strong technical and client relationship skills with strong attention to detail.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a mix of corporate / commercial, Corporations Act, business and advisory work, including
Business sales and purchases
Corporate governance, regulation and compliance
Business assets structuring,
Commercial contracts
Intellectual property
Security (PPSA) corporate and business finance
Experience in local government work would be valued highly but is not essential.
The successful candidate will need to:
have established commercial / corporate experience
demonstrate the ability to provide commercial and practical advice
have an outgoing personality
be able to work directly with clients and exercise a degree of autonomy
supervise junior solicitors and staff and report to our leadership team
exercise commercial judgment
be involved in marketing activities
have existing client relationships, although you may not necessarily have your own practice
