To ensure we deliver a long-term quality asset to our state, North East Link Program is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cost Planning professional to enhance our ability to manage cost across this highly complex project. Please read on for further details.
The position of Senior Cost Planner will play a critical role in the long-term success of North East Link Program. Situated at the heart of NELP's progressive Project Controls division, you will work closely with our highly regarded team of Cost Management and Estimation professionals. You will be joining a cohesive team of subject matter experts all driven to avoid the common problems mega-projects present, delivering a quality asset for Victoria.
In this autonomous role you will be empowered to implement best practice Cost Planning methodologies as you work across a highly varied and complex portfolio spanning the breadth of the most complex tunnelling project undertaken in the southern hemisphere. Your role will encompass undertaking material take offs from various designs across all North East Link packages, developing and validating cost plans / estimates, forecast development and management, benchmarking and data analysis.
About You
This position demands a highly experienced Cost Planning specialist from a quantity surveying or estimating background who brings the necessary knowledge to make this role their own. You will bring extensive expertise tested on major motorway, tunnelling or other types of large infrastructure, mining or oil and gas projects.
- Extensive experience in the development, implementation and management of cost planning / estimating / quantity.
- Strong understanding of diverse delivery methods (D&C, Alliance, PPP, Managing Contract, ECI).
- Knowledge of local construction market in area of operation including first principles estimating and quantity surveying.
A tertiary qualification in commercial/project management/engineering or similar is mandatory.
