We currently have an exciting opportunity within our ANZAC Maritime Sustainment team as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer based in Melbourne, Victoria.
The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will work with the other project design and support teams to ensure a systems orientated, integrated approach is taken with respect to the product security related development, verification and sustainment activities.

As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer you will:
- Develop the Product Security Risk Assessments and maintain the assessments throughout the life of the project
- Lead the development and management of Product Security requirements and design documentation including the regulatory and statutory requirements
- Lead System Engineering activities for product security requirements including functional analysis, candidate solution development, system design, system analysis, integration, system tests, assessment tests and system accreditation
- Communicate with Customer representatives on product security matters, as required
- Define the security architecture and participate in system design and subsystem partitioning to achieve robust security architectures
- Apply knowledge of good security industry practices for mitigating security risk and utilise tools and technologies to aid secure design and development
- Lead analyses to define and characterise the system to identify product security weaknesses in security architectures including those of complex systems and identification of mitigations to address technical and non-technical requirements
- Develop the test program for the Product Security scope of work
- Plan and/or participate in Product Security incident investigation and identification of recommendations
- Develop and review work statements and technically manage suppliers with consideration to Product Security risks and requirements
- Lead and/or participate in the security certification and accreditation process and development of the security documentation required by regulators or accreditation authorities
- Lead the development of the Product Security Assurance Case to document the evidence for the security justification for Products
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Bachelor's degree or related certifications
- Significant experience within the Engineering discipline
- Demonstrated experience within the product security domain which encompasses physical, cyber and emissions security and concept of cyber resilience
- Experience in establishing functional requirements, design, implementation, integration, qualification and operational use within the product security field
- Experience in all aspects of the systems development lifecycle
- Experience with commonly used Australian and Industry security standards and accreditation frameworks (e.g. ISM, NIST Special Publications, RMF, CIS, PSPF, ISO27001/2, and OWASP).
- Experience in development of security risk assessments
- Experience in security test techniques
- Must have an Australian Defence Security Clearance
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
