Location: Sydney CBD/ Hybrid
Our client a large state government department is seeking a Senior Development Manager – who will be responsible for leading the identification, risk analysis and transactions for new and expanding schools across New South Wales.
They will work closely with the project teams and expert consultants including architects, engineers, planners, contractors, cost planners and communications, to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of real estate development and complex property transactions. The candidate should be able to oversee multiple projects and collaborate with all stakeholders involved in the development process.
Key responsibilities:
- Identifying and analysing potential sites for education facilities.
- Risk analysis including coordination of due diligence.
- Transaction management.
- Developing acquisition strategies and programmes.
- Co-ordinating with project teams ensuring good communication.
- Managing relationships with external parties such as consultants and vendors.
- Conducting research to inform decision making; and,
- Ensuring transactions comply with relevant treasury directives, premier memorandums, policies, and legislation.
Strong track record of successful acquisitions,
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities at once.
