Position Summary:
9+ Years of Cloud Engineering experience with AWS with strong knowledge in DevOps, Oracle Database, SQL server and DB2 Administration
7+ years of Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using (CI/CD pipeline) Concepts using the toolsets like Artifactory, Jenkins, Enov8 and Version Control tools like GIT, Bitbucket and Source Tree.
Good written, communication, interpersonal skills, and team player with an analytical mind bend to problem solving and delivering solutions is desired
Mandatory Skills:
Ability to participate and provide guidance during application design using Oracle Database, object Design, Concurrency, Indexing, Views, M-Views User security, Data security, replication(RAC), and backup strategy.
Experience remediating Security Vulnerabilities in Oracle and Clusters OS servers
Strong skills in performance tuning of SQL Queries and Data Masking experience (PL/SQL)
Experience with creating and troubleshooting automated deployment pipelines.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Ansible, Python, Bash/Shell, PHP, Gosu script
Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (IAM, ECS/Fargate, EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Redshift)
Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, PHP, Python, Shell Script, etc.)
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a senior level information technology programmer/analyst, uses advanced principles and procedures of systems design methodology, structured systems design, and automated data processing techniques for new and existing complex Guidewire applications.
Extensive experience in working with cloud providers (AWS & Azure) and familiar with Cloud provider services, EC2, ALBs, VPC etc.
Influence cross functional teams (application, platform, security, data, operations, infrastructure) through transformative changes
Research, design, test, and evaluate new cloud technologies, platforms, and strategic partner products and services
Highly experience in using Redhat Openshift containers for deploying Builds and managing the build versions in environments
Analyze databases for optimal performance and investigate poorly performing SQL statements and offending database sessions. Perform database performance tuning by identifying index candidates, updating database statistics, using appropriate optimization techniques, optimizer hints and other methods. Document tuning procedures.
Monitor database jobs and scheduled processes, perform troubleshooting and provide resolution for any issues with jobs/processes as necessary.
Design, develop and implement highly scalable and reliable systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Monitor, support, review and fix the build issues during various phase in CI/CD pipeline in Git and AWS cloud Platform
Disaster Recovery Exercise for both Application level and database level support.
Debug production issues at every tier of a massive distributed system, across dozens of services.
Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds·
Collaborating with the development team to automate the software build, deployment, and testing processes
Leverage cloud native and third-party tools to troubleshoot Guidewire application issue.
Provide advanced expertise in all stages of software development, production release, and operations
Collaborate with developers to enhance CI/CD GitLab pipelines, tests coverage, and stability.
Performs technical design reviews and code reviews, to include cloud-based architecture and integrations
Articulate advanced multiple cloud environment infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Network, database Backups and OEM Monitoring)
Monitor performance, maintain systems and troubleshoot issues and outages
Extensive knowledge and experience in Guidewire application functionality
Work closely with the platform architects in building highly available, secure, scalable infrastructure
Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve security incidents and vulnerability compliance
Work with enterprise teams for Systems Administrators, Cyber Security and Capacity Planning groups as and when situation demands
Ability to perform applications database administration (Oracle) services including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application design, physical data modeling, development support & Engineering ·
Advanced skills in SQL Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid control (OEM 12c), Linux shell scripting, and writing database monitoring jobs in PL/SQL
Strong Linux shell scripting, Python experience preferred
A good understanding of disaster recovery management best practices, particularly when operating in a regulated industry
Executes effective interpersonal skills, team-work attitude, and drives collaborative initiatives
Salary Range: >$100,000
