Form of work William Adams are currently on the lookout for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Diesel Technician to work out of our Laverton branch. This is a full-time permanent position, working a 5x2 (Monday to Friday) roster with Leave Loading, Allowances, Overtime and RDO's.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Service Supervisor, this role requires a strong mobile/heavy machinery background, excellent diagnostic skills and above average technical knowledge.
What a typical day in the role will look like:
Carrying out service, repairs and maintenance of Cat equipment
Assisting and being a mentor for the apprentices and service technicians
Technical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills including diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on various Cat earthmoving equipment
Compiling and completion of all paperwork relating to the completion of jobs
Opening/closing and invoicing Service Work Orders
Providing quality customer service at all times
Back up to our Team Leaders as required
What skills and experience we are looking for:
A fully qualified Diesel Technician with prior experience working on earthmoving equipment
The ability to mentor, motivate and coach apprentices and technicians
Understanding of computer systems, including Microsoft office
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Committed to delivering superior customer service
A can-do positive attitude
Effective time management and ability to work unsupervised
A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
