The role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch is an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team. The Senior Director has oversight of the Clinical Systems, Collections and Performance Unit and is accountable for the strategic leadership and oversight of the Digital Information Strategy and Roadmap2023-27, aligned to Better Care Together A plan for Queensland State funded mental health alcohol and other drug services to ensure the HHSs are supported in the safe delivery of MHAOD care. The role is responsible for the leadership and management of information programs which underpin critical advice provided by healthcare professionals and corporate executives in relation to healthcare performance, resource allocation, service planning, funding and models of care.
The Senior Director, will be responsible for the leadership, development and implementation of a state-wide informatics and performance monitoring program that supports Hospital and Health Services to provide optimal health care outcomes for consumers of MHAOD services. The informatics and performance program is integrated and aligned with Queensland Health systems and other state and national digital and performance monitoring capabilities.
The successful person
To succeed, you will require a sophisticated knowledge of mental health issues to provide expert policy advice to the Executive Director. An ability to autonomously navigate the complexities and public sensitivities of the MHAODB environment is also essential.
Additionally, you will have a proven track record in building and maintaining effective professional and consultative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior management and demonstrate a supportive and collaborative leadership style.
