Job Description

As part of our growing ANZ and global Energy business, AECOM has an opportunity for a Senior Earthing and Bonding Engineer who is passionate about technical excellence and enjoys the challenge of working in a multi-disciplinary environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to be actively involved in innovative and highly motivated team of energy professionals and be instrumental in delivering landmark projects throughout Australia.

This role will see you being given the opportunity to work across all areas of earthing and bonding, from concept design through to detail design and commissioning, working with clients to deliver innovative solutions on landmark projects. As a senior member of the team, you will be involved in project coordination and delivery, contribution to bids and proposals as well as mentoring more junior members of our team.

Qualifications

As a proven Senior Earthing & Bonding Engineer in our Transmission and Distribution team in Melbourne and Adelaide, you will be expected to hold at least 5+ years' general experience within Electrical Engineering, which includes a minimum of 2 years in delivering Earthing and Bonding designs.

Beyond this experience, we are also ideally looking for some of the following attributes:
  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering
  • Substations and feeder earthing
  • Stray current mitigation, AC interference studies, EMF/EMI studies, EMC assessment
  • Significant experience in the use of CDEGS (SES & Technologies) software
  • Demonstrated experience in authoring high quality engineering reports
  • Soil resistivity testing
  • Lightning protection design
  • Experience in current injection testing
  • Understanding of local authority standards, Australian Standards, and international standards and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPEng, RPEV - or working towards, highly advantageous
