Role description:
Off the back of major project wins and growing pipeline of work in our Energy and Resources team, we are looking for a Senior Design Electrical Engineer to join our Brisbane team.
Role accountabilities:
- Providing technical support to assigned projects under professional supervision;
- Electrical Earthing Calculations to support design submissions
- Preparing technical drawings, plans and designs for Electrical Installations drawings include electrical schematics, plans, detail and assembly drawings, general arrangement, sub-assembly and component drawings);
- Daily utilisation of AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel.
- Assisting Project Managers with the successful completion of engineering projects to fulfil project requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 7+ years’ experience in Design of electrical infrastructure.
- General familiarity with the electricity supply industry, electricity transmission and distribution practices and related topics.
- Sound knowledge of software including AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel.
- Drafting standards experience with utilities and high-level knowledge and application of functions within CAD.
- Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, standards, specifications and sketches.
- Ability to work well within a team and a positive attitude to your work, reliable and retain high quality of work output.
- Ability to be communicate designs philosophies well with clients is essential and at times work under supervision interstate.
- Good writing skills and the ability to produce professional documents and reports
