About The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer who is seeking an opportunity within a techno-commercial role across all phases of project development from inception to construction and commissioning completion.
The core component of the role is for the successful candidate to develop it and make it their own.
Coordinate engineering activities on behalf of the Project Managers and Development Managers.
As the subject matter expert for technologies such as wind turbines, solar, and BESS, support and guide the other project engineers and the broader team on technology-related matters.
Interface with technology subject matter experts globally for support and resources to complete local engineering tasks and provide input and support on global engineering activities.
Coordinate wind and site activities with wind and site engineers across all local projects and review the associated deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering deliverables as required for each phase of the project lifecycle.
Identifying the engineering scope and resource requirements for each phase of the project lifecycle.
Concept and tender designs.
Value engineering and optimised designs.
Design and engineering inputs as required for primary and secondary approvals.
Identifying the scope and resource requirements of due diligence activities for their projects.
The program for engineering due diligence activities.
Engineering due diligence deliverables, such as fatal flaw/red flag analysis and due diligence reports or technical notes.
Time and Task Standards and continuously improve cycle times and productivity.
Variations are managed within prescribed limits.
Performance management of consultants, and contractors.
Accurate and reliable financial and program data.
Relevant documentation is kept up to date and working to the benefit of the program.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or an equivalent field.
Mature professional experience with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience in project development or management or technical bid management for an OEM or contractor in renewable energy or energy storage.
Experience with Project Engineering or managing or coordinating varied techno-commercial disciplines and activities.
Good knowledge of converter-connected technology or wind turbines.
RPEQ, CPEng - Highly desired.
