Primary Objective:
To protect the environment through effectively administering the Territory’s environmental legislation, including the Environment Protection Act 2019, the Waste Management and Pollution Control Act 1998, the Water Act 1992, Petroleum (Environment) Regulations 2016 and the Environment Protection (Beverage Containers and Plastic Bags) Act 2011 across a range of activities and industries in the Northern Territory.
